Carsie Mason, aka Sistah Butterfly, loves sharing stories and awakening imaginations through written and oral execution. She attributes her vivid imagination of storytelling to her parents and the village who raised her. Her life is professionally and personally fulfilled by being a storyteller, freelance writer, Instructional System Design (ISD) writer and published author.
She is a graduate of South Georgia College with her ISD Certification from the University of Georgia. A retiree of Delta Airlines, she has traveled extensively and gathered stories of African, worldly, historical and original descent. Carsie passionately tells these stories to children and adults. She’s performed in a vast array of venues such as:

- Delta Airlines ATL/RES Black History Program
- Kuumba’s Historical Portraits
- Medu Bookstore
- Atlanta Parent Magazine Festival
- Samuel H Johnson Foundation

Carsie is a member of Kuumba Storytellers of Georgia, and National Association of Black Storytellers. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Bradley.
