LaDoris Bias-Davis has been telling tales and facilitating workshops across the U.S., Caribbean and S. America for 28 years. LaDoris has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theatre and a Graduate degree in Early Literacy Education.
Programs are tailored to schools, libraries, youth groups, Early Childhood organizations, literacy/reading programs, motivational assemblies, corporations, family reunions and more. From Fables to fairy tales, fiction to non-fiction, Bible stories to “bet ya can’t tell just one” stories, the Ezra Jack Keats collection, Gullah tales, African-American and inter-cultural tales and “Me and Mississippi” collection of personal stories, LaDoris engages audiences and provides programs for interactive learning.
LaDoris’ highlighted performances include: “Prime Time” Dekalb County Public Libraries Family Literacy Project, DCPL “Jubilee of Reading”, PeachSeed Storytelling Festivals, Dekalb History Center-“History Quest”, Oakland Foundation – “Spirits of Oakland”, Southview – “Sisters for Eternity” and more. LaDoris has also appeared on live radio, television, as well as being featured in news and magazine articles. LaDoris is also the creator of the Triple Tales Family Festival held each October in Decatur, GA and is a firm believer that “Storytelling has no limitations!”
