Mama Tales is Kuumba’s annual signature event, created by our esteemed ancestor Ernestine Brown. The concert provides a platform for storytellers to honor mothers and mother figures through heartfelt stories and cherished life lessons. This special program celebrates the love, laughter, wit, and wisdom of the remarkable women who planted seeds of love in our lives. This program is presented in May in celebration of Mother’s Day.
