Sensational Storytelling with Sistuh Spice

Sistuh Spice is an Atlanta-based storyteller, singer, actress, poet and narrator who discovered her love for the arts while growing up in Miami. Being the second oldest of nine children and having both parents working outside of the home meant that there was not much time or money for outside entertainment. As a result she spent much of her energies reading for pleasure. She took that enthusiasm into the classroom and it was not long before her teachers were encouraging her to participate in school plays and interpretative readings.

After 11 years of teaching grades seven through twelve, Sistuh Spice has chosen to expand her storytelling beyond the classroom. She completed her master’s studies in Integrating the Arts into the Curriculum through Lesley University. It was during her course of studies that she realized her deep, embedded love and natural talent for storytelling.
Today, Sistuh Spice uses her singing and acting abilities to woo her audiences with sensational storytelling sessions to include: family stories, folktales, multicultural and tall tales. Programs are adapted to any age audience or grade level.
