Aunt Ernestine is a talented versatile storyteller for listeners of all ages!
Ernestine Brown is a retired educator who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Western Connecticut State University
(Danbury, Connecticut) and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts). While
serving as a classroom teacher and administrator, she opened SOMBA BOOKSTORE, in Hartford, Connecticut, and began storytelling as part of
the bookselling experience. Ms. Brown went on to become a consultant for the Connecticut State Department of Education.
Now that she is retired and living in Georgia, Ernestine Brown is a member of KUUMBA STORYTELLERS OF GEORGIA, The National Association of
Black Storytellers and the Southern Order of Storytellers.
